Community Guidelines

Steadfast is for Christian singles who are serious about finding a partner. We want it to feel like a good church fellowship hall: warm, honest and respectful. “Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14)

Be real

Use your real first name, true age and recent photos that clearly show your face.
No photos of other people, celebrities, cartoons, or photos edited to change how you look.
Be honest about your relationship status and family. Steadfast is for single people: if you’re married or separated, please wait until you’re free to date.
One account per person.

Be respectful

Treat everyone with kindness, including people you’re not interested in. A polite “no thank you” is always enough.
No harassment, insults, threats, or pressuring someone who has stopped replying.
Respect other denominations and traditions. Disagree graciously, never with contempt.
No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, disability or other personal characteristics.

Keep it pure and appropriate

No nudity, sexual content, or sexual comments or requests, in photos or messages.
No graphic violence, weapons used to intimidate, or illegal drugs.

No scams or selling

Never ask anyone for money, gifts, investments, crypto or financial details, for any reason.
No advertising, recruiting, fundraising or links to other services.
Don’t pressure people to move the conversation to another app before they’re ready.

Adults only

You must be 18 or older. Anyone who appears to be under 18 will be removed.

Stay safe

Keep chatting on Steadfast until you trust someone.
Meet in a busy public place for the first few dates, and arrange your own transport.
Tell a friend or family member where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
Never send money or share financial information, however convincing the story.
Trust your instincts. It’s always OK to leave.
If you are ever in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
