Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information Kalabash Holdings LLC (“we”) collects when you use Steadfast, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, so here’s the short version:
- We collect what you give us to build your profile, plus what’s needed to run a dating app.
- Other members see your profile, never your email, birthdate or exact location.
- We don’t sell your information and we don’t show ads.
- You can delete your account, and your profile, photos and messages, at any time.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account: your email address.
- Profile: first name, date of birth (we only show your age), gender, job title, height, drinking, what you’re looking for, prompt answers and photos.
- Faith: your denomination, how important faith is to you and how often you attend church. These describe your religious beliefs, which some laws treat as sensitive. You choose to share them, and they are shown on your profile because Steadfast is built around faith.
- Family & story: your marital history, your family today and your hopes for your family.
- Verification selfie: if you choose to get verified, a selfie copying a pose. Only our team sees it, to compare with your photos. We delete it after review.
- Activity: likes (including comments and Heartfelt likes), passes, matches, messages, blocks and reports.
- Waitlist: if you join the waitlist, your first name, email, city or ZIP, gender, and optionally denomination, church and how you heard about us.
Location
To show people nearby, we store an approximate location: either from your device (rounded to about 100 metres) or from a city or ZIP code you type (rounded to about 1 km). Other members only ever see a rounded distance such as “3 mi away”. If you type a city or ZIP code, it is looked up using OpenStreetMap’s place search.
Collected automatically
When you use Steadfast, our hosting and database providers record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the times you use the app. We record when you were last active so we can hide inactive profiles. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies; we only store what’s needed to keep you signed in and remember settings like your filters.
2. How we use it
- to create your account and show your profile to compatible members;
- to suggest people nearby and run likes, matches and chat;
- to keep the community safe: verifying photos, reviewing reports, preventing scams and enforcing our rules;
- to send you emails about likes, matches and messages (you can turn these off in Profile) and important account or safety notices;
- to understand how Steadfast is used and improve it, using overall counts rather than individual profiles where possible;
- to comply with the law and respond to valid legal requests.
3. Who can see your information
- Other members see your profile: first name, age, photos, faith details, family & story, the facts you add, your prompts, a rounded distance, whether you’re verified and whether you were active recently. Only your matches can message you.
- Our team can see what’s needed to moderate: reports, profiles, photos and verification selfies.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract: Supabase (accounts, database and photo storage), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending emails), OpenStreetMap (city and ZIP look-up) and Google Fonts (fonts used on the site).
- Legal and safety: we may share information if required by law, or if we believe it’s necessary to protect someone’s safety, investigate fraud, or enforce our Terms.
- Business changes: if Kalabash Holdings LLC or Steadfast is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your login, profile, photos, prompts, location, likes, matches and messages straight away. Because a conversation belongs to both people, deleting your account also removes those conversations for the other person. Our providers may keep backups for a short period before they’re overwritten.
For safety, if you were reported or banned, we keep the report and your email address so banned people can’t simply rejoin. Waitlist details are kept until we launch in your area or you ask us to remove them.
5. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile anytime from Profile › Edit profile.
- Delete your account from Profile › Delete account.
- Emails: turn notification emails on or off in Profile.
- Location: share your device location or type a city or ZIP code instead.
- Access, correction or deletion requests: email kalabashholdingsllc@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, other U.S. states, the UK or EU), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, to object to or limit certain uses, and to complain to a regulator. We’ll respond within the time the law requires and won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
6. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, photos are stored privately and shown through temporary links, and database rules limit each person to what they’re allowed to see. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a secure email account and tell us right away if you notice anything wrong.
7. Adults only
Steadfast is only for people 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor is using Steadfast, please report them or email us and we’ll remove the account.
8. Where data is processed
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, with safeguards required by law.
9. Changes
We’ll update this policy as Steadfast changes. If the changes are significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email.
